Apprenticeship Opportunities
We offer an internship which is paid by the intern to spend 2 days with Jubilations Event Planning learning practical, hands-on, experience which is nearly priceless, for more information, please read the info below and complete the application to schedule a phone conference.
Pre Event Details:
- See how Tinley & her team develop a detailed budget outline for the client and how the client's binder is put together to organize and have a complete accounting of the entire event.
- Review & understand the idea of putting together the comprehensive event day schedule & vendor information/implementation information.
- View samples of printed materials created exclusively for Jubilations events.
- Review a completed client binder to see how the event flowed from start to finish.
Rehearsal:
- Meet with the bride & groom and see how a wedding rehearsal is run by a professional event team.
- Help distribute assignments to the bridal party and work with Jubilations on the musician timing, the way the bridesmaids & groomsmen line up and other ceremony details crucial to managing the events the following day.
- Possibly attend and manage the rehearsal dinner (if contracted with client).
Wedding Day:
- Be on hand to work with the event setup & design crew on the finalization of the event design plans & wedding coordination.
- Observe the ceremony direction of bridal party, family and guests with managing the timing of the bride's arrival & transportation issues.
- Make sure that everything is in place for the start of the ceremony & begin cues to the musicians & photographer assistance if required.
- Understand the day's setup and timing including vendor earliest setup & the symphony of coordinating the day's events including ceremony setup, reception strike.
- Greet guests upon their arrival to give direction.
- Observe the timing of the ceremony starting as well as the placement of any special items, microphones, etc.
- Take a key role in setup of reception site including placement of place cards, favors & menus.
- Work with the event team to determine the correct quantity of tables, chairs etc. are arranged as according to the event diagram.
- Guide guests from ceremony to reception.
- Assist with coordination of dances and toasts. Help ensure that all involved parties are present.
- Secure and pack up all the items belonging to the client at the end of the night.
- Bid final adieu to the bride & groom as they depart for their new life.
Dates are flexible around the events scheduled. One apprentice for every event will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
